44 people were killed as a result of this earthquake.
25,840 people are currently homeless. (9,853 people are in shelters)
12,045 houses were damaged. 3,064 with severe damage, 4,318 with moderate damage, 3,244 with light damage and 1,419 at risk. []
Felt (VII) in Quetzaltenango;
(VI) at Antigua Guatemala and Villa Nueva;
(V) at Cahabon, Fraijanes, Guatemala, Huehuetenango and Panajachel;
(IV) at Champerico, Coban, Mixco, San Bartolome Milpas Altas, Santa Catarina Pinula and Santiago Atitlan. Also felt at Tapachula; (IV) at Centro, Lazaro Cardenas, San Cristobal de Las Casas, Tuxtla Gutierrez Jalap aand San Salvador;
(III) at Granjas Mexico, Mexico and Villahermosa, Mexico. and at Antiguo Cuscatlan, Ilopango and Nueva San Salvador, El Salvador. Felt at Belize City and Dangriga, Belize.
Felt in many parts of Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and Nicaragua.
A tsunami was recorded with wave heights of 30 centimeters at Puerto Chiapas, Mexico and 7 centimeters at Acajutla, El Salvador.[usgs]

According to SSN (Servicio Sismológico Nacional, Mexico) data there have been 192 aftershocks in the 212 hours since the Main Shock, giving a total energy release of equivalent to 1,383,298.152 tons of TNT. the main shock released 1,344,028.024TTNT and the a 6.2 quake 30,089.039 TTNT leaving 39,270TTNT for the others consisting of 6 in the mag 5 range, 46 in the mag4 range and 139 in the mag 3 range.

The largest magnitude aftershock hit 101:39:10 hours after the main shock and there has been some varied magnitude (5.9mb-6.5Mw) and location (+/- 120km) estimates from the main networks. The map below plots those.
