Egypt 2014

National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) is one of the oldest scientific institutions in Egypt. Helwan observatory was erected at Helwan in 1903. Astronomical observations started in 1905; geomagnetic observations and registrations started at 1907 while seismic registration started early in 1899.
The Egyptian National Seismograph Network (ENSN) operated by the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics was started in 1997 and implemented in 2003.
